Updated List

Thanks to a combination of Kimley-Horn and Associates and our Chairman’s Quality Award trip to Six Flags and my visit to see Joy up at that school up north I’ve crossed two more items off the list.

I’m sorry Eric, but we still have Stone Mountain and I’m betting I’ll go to Six Flags at least one more time before the end of the season…

Summer To-Do List

Here are a few things I would like to accomplish before the summer is over:

  • Six Flags
  • Hike Stone Mountain/Laser Show
  • Braves Baseball Game
  • Visit Rural South Georgia (See Fireflies)
  • Work on the Wreck
  • Visit Athens to See Friends

My 4th

Started out well enough running the Peachtree with my roommate Brandon.

We finished the race in 49:17. Afterwards Kearse, being the Wreck driver was supposed to take the wreck to a parade at Atlantic Station. I, being the nice guy I am, decided to join him.

Unfortunately, the car had different ideas about how we should spend our afternoon. This made me sad.

So we spent the rest of the day drinking beer, listening to country music, and working on the car. The nice thing about the wreck is that it’s about as simple as it gets when it comes to engines. There are basically three components: compression, fuel and electricity. So when something goes wrong there’s not much to check. You wouldn’t think that something so simple would be so frustrating.

We got it running eventually. It was the sparkplugs.

The prade was missed, but we made it to the wedding later that evening.

What Has Matt Been Up To?

Glad you asked:

Unthinkable Project

The movie premiered last weekend, in Dublin GA. I was very impressed and energized for the next steps. Goode and I will be having lunch to discuss further work tomorrow.

Research

Pressing onwards. I’ve decided to split professional posts off onto a seperate blog, and just use this one for personal stuff. Therefore more details will be found there.

Buckhead Church

I started attending Fusion last weekend and have remained involved on the production team which has been occupying a considerable amount of time on Sundays.

Kimley-Horn

Still there. We job-started the Arts Center project, so there’s been a lot of prep work for the modeling phase, but again, more will be found on the professional blog.
